About us

We are Beatrix and Christian.

We rent out my grandmother's newly renovated home on behalf of my father Johann.

We have both travelled the world for many years, living and working in different countries between South America and Australia.

We look forward to welcoming international guests. The flat is located in the old farmhouse of my late grandmother.

It is a courtyard with a large sliding gate at the entrance and an entrance door to the right leading to the courtyard. Trees and grass grow in the courtyard. The farm is very old, and was already standing before the 2nd World War. In the courtyard there are still remains of the barn for keeping farm animals (rabbits, chickens, cows, etc.) that was destroyed in WW2. There are also 2 storage halls where agricultural machines and other things are stored. In the back, separated area of the farmhouse are our chickens and a rooster. They live there peacefully and apart from a few crowing cries from our rooster, they are not perceptible to our guests. From time to time Christian comes by and looks after his chickens to feed them.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us by phone or Whats App.

You will find the phone number in the guest folder in the flat. What you can do in the area or where the nearest supermarket is, you will also find in the guest folder.

We want to offer you a home where you can relax and feel comfortable.

Enjoy your stay,

all love Beatrix and Christian

Rules

Dear holiday guest

Our extraordinary flat, which used to be the residential house (built before 1900) of my grandmother's farm, shall be your second home for the duration of your stay.

You should feel comfortable and have a great time in Traiskirchen and its surroundings. We have put a lot of effort into the furnishing and hope that you will find everything you need. These house rules are intended to help you have a smooth stay.

To ensure that we can continue to offer you and other guests a pleasant accommodation in the future, we ask you to comply with the rules. If you have any questions about the flat, need help or if something is not working properly, please feel free to contact us. If a mishap happens and something is damaged, please do not hesitate to inform us.

An amicable arrangement can only be made if we do not have to find out about the damage ourselves when cleaning the apartment after your departure.

General

If you find anything missing, damaged or in need of assistance, please contact us at any time. All things that are in the flat or belong to it may and should be used. Please use only apparently intact furnishings or appliances. Please handle all furnishings and inventory with care and treat the rented property with care. Please ensure that your fellow travellers also observe the rules.

Disposal

Waste can be disposed of in the residual waste containers (grey bin) in the courtyard next to the entrance gate or in the shared waste bin in the kitchen. Glass, plastic and tin cans can be disposed of separately in the rubbish bin in the kitchen and will be disposed of by us during the final cleaning. No rubbish, food leftovers, harmful liquids, hygiene products or similar may be thrown or poured into the kitchen sink, toilet, washbasin and shower! Avoid anything that can lead to blockages in the pipes.

Cleaning

If a mishap should happen to you (extreme dirt, liquids on the floor or work surfaces, etc.), we ask you to clean it up immediately. Please leave the flat swept clean on departure and put the dishes back in the cupboards. If there is excessive dirt after your stay, which makes professional or excessive cleaning or the replacement of objects necessary, all expenses will be charged to you in full.

Quiet times

In the interest of good neighbourliness, we ask you to observe the night's rest in and in front of the holiday flat between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. and to reduce the noise level to room volume.

Smoking

Smoking is not allowed in the flat. Please leave the flat when smoking. Please do not throw cigarette butts into the grass, on the floor or on the pavement, but dispose of them properly. If you smoke in the flat, you will be charged the full cost of the special cleaning service.

Airing

In order to avoid the formation of mould, we kindly ask you to air the rooms sufficiently, especially during or after using the shower.

Kitchen

Please take care of the furnishings and appliances. Since a dirty kitchen pleases no one, please put dishes, pots and cutlery in clean and dry condition in the cupboards. Please do not place hot pots and other hot objects on the tables or worktop without a trivet. Always use a chopping board as a base for cutting. Please leave the interior of the oven, mixer etc. in a clean and usable condition.

Bunk bed

Use of the bunk bed is at your own risk. Parents are liable for their children. Please make sure that the bunk bed is in good condition before using it. The bunk bed is designed for overnight use and the associated loads, but not for gymnastic exercises or the like.

You will receive the access code for the key safe next to the entrance gate in good time before your arrival. If you forget the code or have problems with the key safe, please let us know. Arrival and departure Check-in on the day of arrival is possible from 3 pm using the code sent to you. On the day of departure we ask you to vacate the flat by 11 a.m. at the latest. Please leave the flat in as clean a condition as possible.

House rules

In case of immediate repairs or for other necessary reasons, it may be indispensable for us as landlords to enter the flat without your knowledge.

Liability

As landlord we are not liable for your valuables.

Duty of care

We ask you to treat the rental object with care and to ensure that fellow travellers also comply with the rental conditions. The entrance door has a mechanical locking mechanism. As soon as you lock the door with the key, the door or the entrance gate is closed. It does not lock itself. The entrance door should always be closed, and special attention should be paid to this when leaving the flat. Likewise, all windows should be closed when leaving the flat to avoid possible damage due to storms or burglary. Water and electricity resources must be used sparingly.
